Lifelong learning is part of being a nutritionist. But scientific journals aren’t always the most fun to read, which is where books come in!
But, unlike peer-reviewed scientific journals, in books you can say almost anything – just look at Belle Gibson – which makes it hard to differentiate the good from the bad. These are the ones I’d recommend as being interesting and accessible reading whilst also based on good science.
Non-Diet Books:
Health at Every Size by Linda Bacon
The Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf
Intuitive Eating by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch

Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari
First Bite: How We Learn to Eat by Bee Wilson
Bad Science by Ben Goldacre
I Think You’ll Find It’s a Bit More Complicated Than That by Ben Goldacre
And finally, a cheeky plug for my book, which is out in April but available to pre-order now!

Thanks so much for rounding up this list, Pixie. Super keen to give them a read. Think I’ll start with “The Angry Chef” – has a nice ring to it:-) Looking forward to your book!
